starstruck at marc jacobs!

Hey CGs!

I know fashion week is over in NYC, but I just had to update you on the Marc Jacobs show I saw Friday night! I’m totally amazed by his creativity: he’s one of my favorite designers, and I can't believe I was one of the first people to see his fall collection. Though the clothes were gorgeous — tons of comfortable-looking trousers, soft-looking coats with gemstone accents, chic low-heeled boots, space-age looking sheath dresses, and my favorite, an awesome oversized leather jacket — I was ALMOST as excited to see all the celebs who turned out to “the show of the week”.

Not only did I get to see MJ himself (definitely a highlight!), Sonic Youth also played the runway soundtrack, and Selma Blair, Gretchen Mol, Ellen Pompeo and M.I.A. were all sitting just a couple of rows in front of me!

But my biggest celeb encounter of the night was with Victoria Beckham, the new face of Marc Jacobs. On my way out after the show (which only lasted about 10 minutes... who knew fashion shows were so short?), I was caught about 3 feet from her. Of course, she was surrounded by tons of photographers, but I managed to get this shot... not bad, huh? All in all, it was a fabulous night, and I really hope that this amazing show wasn't my last.
