Sweat Savers

There is no question; no matter where you live summer is in full effect. Here in New York, temperatures are reaching the 90's and with all of the skyscrapers surrounding us, let's just say wind is not a friend we see often here.

No matter where you are living, we're all dealing with some extreme heat this month. And that of course leads to sweating (ick). Personally, I can't walk up a flight of stairs without breaking a tiny sweat, so with these sweltering August days, I'm in big trouble.

The biggest anti-perspiring trend this summer has been injecting BOTOX (seriously!) under your arms when deodorants fail. For me, that's a little too drastic. Instead, I've taken to a different sweat saver when the thermometers are about to burst — exfoliating. By scrubbing not only your face, but also areas where you may sweat with your favorite facial scrub, you can clean out your pores and actually sweat less. It won't work overnight, but after a few weeks you'll be sure to notice a distinct difference! And as always, make sure you are hydrating to keep that skin blemish free in this sticky heat!
