meet sweeney todd's new cutie!

A few years ago, I tagged along with my friend to see the Broadway show Sweeney Todd ... and was shocked that it was about a barber who liked his blade bloody! Eeks! Thank goodness it was just a stage show, and there was no real blood!

So when I heard that they were turning Sweeney Todd into a movie starring Johnny Depp, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to take it ... until Jamie Campbell Bower stopped by the CosmoGIRL! offices for a visit a few months ago.

The 19-year-old Brit (yes, he has the cutest accent!!) is not only sweet and adorable, but so modest and thrilled to be part of such a huge movie. And when we popped in the DVD to see a scene of him singing "Johanna," I got chills! He has the sweetest singing voice that's sure to win you over too! ;)

And then, last week, I caught a screening of the film. Who belts out the very first note of the movie? Yup, Jamie! Before we even see Johnny Depp! (And for those of you wondering about Johnny as a singer ... he's amazing!! His character is creepy, but he's got the voice of an angel!)

Definitely get ready for some gore and slashing (okay, I admit it, I closed my eyes through a lot of the bloody scenes!), but you've got to check out Sweeney Todd (out December 21), especially for the singing debuts of Johnny and Jamie! :) It's bloody brilliant — tee-hee!
