Welcome to the official start of the holiday season! It's a little early, I know, but it's fun — so why not, right? To start you off, we have our awesome gift guide filled with stuff you'll want to give to people (and stuff you'll want to put on your own list). We've made it really easy to use by breaking everything into categories: stuff for your friends, your sweetie, and general fun items. So have fun browsing (and buying!). Then we have a special quiz based on the Born to Lead winners who appear in our December/January issue — so get the mag, get inspired by their stories, and ace the quiz! Finally, we have a totally inspiring story written by our new senior Web editor, Deanne Hess, on how she overcame bullying when she was younger. I think a lot of you will identify with her story, and I hope it can help you get through it if you're in the same situation — or will help you help someone else who is being treated badly at school. Think of it as a good way to start off the new year ... with kindness.
Most of all, try not to get too stressed with midterms/finals/etc. this time of year. Remember, it's a special time to connect with your friends and family, so have fun!
