adamo talks relationships
Relationships are a huge concept found virtually everywhere: TV shows, movies, music, commercials, books, magazines, billboards and posters. And, let's not forget everyday life. The other day, I found myself thinking that the best relationships seem to only exist on TV and in the movies. Am I wrong? I mean, think about it: Harry and Sally, Chandler and Monica, Snake and Spike. But when we leave the world of Hollywood, relationships seem to get a bit trickier. I wonder: do you find the perfect relationship outside the romantic world of Hollywood? Ironically, working in television has slightly demystified Hollywood for me and I've had a recent epiphany.
A relationship is a perfect match no matter who you are, what you do or where you're from. It is often a randomly unique fit between two people and can be hard to find. Ok, so here's an analogy: I like to think of relationships as two artists collaborating together on a project. Each artist possesses a talent that is unique in his or her own right. At some point, the artists will venture outside their private workspaces and bring something to the table where they'll discover whether their talents are compatible. There are times when two artists will work well together and produce something far stronger than either artist could have done alone. But then there are also times when two artists discover they have different methods to their craft and, in turn, are better off working independently. When this happens, it's important to remember a good artist can stand alone and be secure in his or her own talents. Hopefully, one day, we all get the opportunity to successfully collaborate with someone. But until then, don't be afraid to hold down your own show. Your own theater - live.
Thanks for reading my random thoughts over the past month everyone. I appreciate the support. All the best.
Peace,
Adamo
