Well, I did go through a really angsty stage. When I was 13, all I listened to was "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd. I wore spiked bracelets and was just really affected by everything. Teen angst comes from thinking the world revolves around you, but it doesn’t. I got over that quickly—in, like, a summer—and now I’m pretty laid-back.

I became a lot more confident. To get into character, I had to watch myself all the time, so I noticed things about myself—like slouching. When you’re slouching you’re sort of shuffling along; a person who is really confident greets the world with his or her chest out. So I stopped slouching, and now I have my shoulders back like a Roman guard wearing a toga, sandals, and helmet.
