Check out our Web-only interview with the singer and hear all about her new album!

Even though Christina Milian's new album, "So Amazin,'" shows a more mature side of the pop starlet, she hasn't forgotten what it's like to be a teenage girl. In this exclusive interview, the singer-turned-actress (check her out in "Pulse" with Kristen Bell and Ian Somerhalder in theaters August 11) gives advice about boys, your body, and more! Make sure to pick up the August 2006 issue of CosmoGIRL! for more of our interview with Christina!

Tell us about the album.

The album! I'm excited. I think that the title really sums it all up because overall, I've gotten to a different point right now with my music where I feel more like a true artist rather than just an entertainer, performer. There are so many sounds on it. The song "So Amazin'" definitely has a club, up tempo, electric, urban beat.

If you had to choose between music or acting, is there one that you would lean toward?

Um...no. I love them both equally. Right now, my preference is definitely music because I'm so proud of this album. Later I'll probably rest my head more on the acting side.

So you never had a boyfriend in high school?

No! I didn't! I didn't even have my first date until I was 17.

What would be your best advice for girls in high school?

You know, at the end of the day you have to make yourself happy. I think the best thing is to have a good mentor around, whether it be a parent, a counselor, or a teacher. It's best to talk about things. I've found that talking or writing about stuff is probably the best therapy. And then on top of that, take care of your body. Taking care of your body is part of loving yourself.

Who was your positive person? Did you have one growing up?

My influence is my mother. She and I are really close, so when I was insecure about my body, my mom was the person I leaned on. She would always help me by taking me to exercise or cooking me healthy food because she knew I wanted to take care of myself.
