I grew up in a really small town, LaGrange, Georgia. There weren’t a lot of creative outlets there, so I did local castings. When I graduated from high school, my mom and dad were saying I needed to go to college, but I said I wanted to pursue my dream of acting. At the end of my high school career, they quit their jobs and we moved out to California on a leap of faith.

I want to be known as an entertainer. I think in this day and age, it’s evident that the industry is going toward triple threats. I think it started that way, then it went to straight movie stars and music stars, and now it’s back to that triple threat. I want to be a part of that. I have to work harder to be where I want to be, but I feel like if we put everything in the right places and all the chips are on the line, I think it’s very attainable for people like myself.

It’s pop-soul. There are songs that are musically mind-boggling. There are songs where it’s just my voice and an acoustic guitar, and then there are ballads. It’s a lot of different styles of music, but it’s all me. I have songs about falling in and out of love, and the whole courting process of meeting a girl and trying to get to know her.
