"I went to school in Philadelphia and ended up dropping out and moving back home. A friend of mine had gotten his hands on a demo I had done to give out to people who saw me play at coffee shops. He brought it to Drexel University, his school, which had just started a record label called Mad Dragon. They approached me and said they loved the sound and that I could use their studios to record while they promoted me to get shows. I always sold myself short as far as what I could do musically and if it hadn't been for this opportunity I don't think I'd be doing this."

"For many artists performing is an outlet. I am pretty mild mannered in many things I do but onstage it is a great way to express things on the inside that I normally wouldn't on a day-to-day basis. In terms of writing some of the stuff is a little heavy, so that is kind of therapeutic in its own right. There's also those few times when people get really into your show and you can tell they are feeling the same thing you are, and that's a really great thing to see."
