With this album, you are beginning to see me as a young lady who is coming into her own. A big difference between how I am now and [how I was] before, with Destiny’s Child, is my confidence. I’m willing to try new things — that’s what being in this business is all about. You take a risk, and if it doesn’t work, the world will let you know. The feedback on my MySpace has so far been great — but sometimes unexpected, also. One person commented that I needed to get my eyebrows done!

It sets the tone about this year for me — breaking the dawn is about going for whatever it is that you need to do. The song just makes you feel like you can do anything.
