It’s a line from the Smashing Pumpkins song, 'I of the Mourning,' on the record Machina. I think my name, Daniel Hunter, is boring, so I thought it would be more interesting to change it.

When I first started touring two years ago, I just hopped in the van of this band that I'm good friends with called Danger Radio. I opened for them and it was just me and my laptop. I put my laptop on an ironing board and sang along with it. I think most people were really confused at first because they had never seen just one person onstage with a computer. Now, I still have a big computer on stage, but I also have a band.
