Metro Station shakes it up in this interview with CG!

Summer is right around the corner, and one of our fave warm-weather jams is Metro Station's big single, "Shake It." We caught up with Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso, who are both guitar-vocalists for the band. You can imagine how excited we were to hear about an exclusive CosmoGIRL!-only concert with the band on June 4! Winners will see a unique VIP live set by Metro Station, take snapshots with the band, and print out pictures instantly with the new Polaroid PoGo — the pocket-size digital printer that instantly creates photos wirelessly from your cell phone. The Polaroid PoGo prints color images with a sticky back so you can share them anywhere — like at live shows. The new printer will be available this summer. Enter now for your chance to win a ticket to see this VIP show just for CosmoGIRL! readers.

WHAT ARE YOU GUYS UP TO RIGHT NOW?

TRACE: We just got back on tour, finally. I'm glad to be back on the road. We're in Texas right now.
MASON: We're on the road with a band called Forever the Sickest Kids and we're co-headlining with them. We're also out with three other bands — one's called the CAB, one's called Danger Radio, and the other is called the Maine.

BEFORE THIS, YOU PLAYED SOME DATES IN EUROPE WITH PANIC AT THE DISCO. WHAT WAS THAT LIKE?

TRACE: Those were the craziest shows I know we've played. It's just a totally different vibe from the United States. The kids are just insane over there. It's a really uplifting feeling.
MASON: It was our first experience outside of the United States. It was really exciting. We hit London, we hit Glasgow, we hit Scotland. I saw William Wallace's sword. It was pretty awesome. We went to Nottingham, where Robin Hood used to do his escapades.
TRACE: The only day we had off there was in London. That was the one day we actually got to go out and do stuff. So that was the coolest day. We went around the city and went shopping. It was a blast. London is a blast.

HOW WAS PLAYING A BIG FESTIVAL LIKE Z100'S ZOOTOPIA FOR YOU?

TRACE: That was a lot of fun. I definitely enjoy doing big festivals and big shows. Playing in front of a bigger crowd is such a fun feeling, and getting to play to more kids is always better.
MASON: It was like the first big radio show we've ever done, really. I enjoy the festival atmosphere but I prefer playing at night. There's nothing better than playing at night, where everything's dark and the lights are more vibrant.
