William: This one is being done very similarly to how we started writing songs in the beginning. There's a story first, and after I show my songs to the guys, we all make the songs together, with the full band. It reminds us of the freshness and youthfulness of music and why we started making it in the first place. We're recording now, and hopefully, within this process of recording, a couple more songs will emerge. I've never been more excited about music in my life.

Adam: We hope so, at least. We don't want to do anything that's expected. On our last record there were a lot of things that people didn't expect. Now fans are expecting that element of surprise again, so we need to live up to that.
William: I think everyone's going to be a little surprised when they hear it. It's bold. There aren't any circus mirrors shifting and distorting what the point of this record is. It's just deliberately in your face and honest.
Adam: God, Santa Claus, and the boogeyman have been lingering around and they've heard it all.
William: Eavesdroppers.
