I have a little something embarrassing to share—I got caught head-banging in the CG! offices. I couldn't help it! The new AFI CD, "Decemberunderground", is so rocking, it got my toes tapping and my fingers drumming the beat, much to the dismay of my fellow interns. The boys needed something huge to follow up their insanely popular "Sing the Sorrow," and my ears are happy to say they did quite nicely.
My fave on the album is "Summer Shudder," a heartfelt song about a guy pining after his ex (aw!). A close second is "Affliction," which mid-song morphs from a heart-pumping jam into a soothing instrumental. Kind of caught me off guard, but it works.
"Decemberunderground" came out on June 6, so if you're in the mood for angsty punk rock, pick it up now and let me know what you think!
