bamboozle 2008 rocked!
Check out this year's Bamboozled concert!

Yesterday, I had the chance of a lifetime to attend Bamboozle, which was a two-day pop-punk-rap-rock extravaganza in New Jersey! And though Ive been to several all-day concert festivals, this was by far one of the best! Heres a quick run-down of some highlights from the day:
Little did I know, but We the Kings and I have so much in common! Not only are we both from beautiful Florida towns and both love the beach, but we also had the same high school principal! My principal transferred to their high school around the time I graduated. What a crazy small world! They totally rocked on and off stagethey seriously stuck around for so long to sign autographs and give hugs! You can check them out all summer long on the Vans Warped Tour.
Among my other favorites for the day, The White Tie Affair and Gym Class Heroes are definitely up there. Both bands were totally goofy backstage and then really knew how to get the crowd jumping on stage. Paper Rival talked about their thoughtful, often provocative music (check out The Kettle Black) and The Academy Is... told us about their new album, which will include lots of songs inspired by their days in high school. Even Scary Kids Scaring Kids (who werent scary at all!) told us some pretty ridiculous stories about their recent tour across Europe with Every Time I Die. Though the day wore on and the crowd started to get tired, Phantom Planet, The CAB and The Hush Sound gave such energetic performances, they seemed to wake everyone up again and rejuvenate the entire festival! The crowd held that energy so that by the time headliners Panic at the Disco came on late in the evening, you would have thought the party was just getting started!
Meanwhile, backstage, all of the bands got along so well. I know people in entertainment are notorious for faking their affection, but seriously, everyone at Bamboozle seemed to genuinely be such great friends. If you havent already, I highly suggest you check out these groups and let us know what you think! And, make sure to stay connected with CosmoGIRL! for all the latest news on these bands over the summer!
ciao ciao
