When it comes to prom, you have it all planned out — you spent hours searching for the right dress, deciding what you want your hair to look like, choosing your date, and booking your ride. But wait, what about the after-party? Try these ideas for a night you won’t forget!
belle of the bowl: Head to a bowling alley for the after-party dressed like royalty. Not to mention, your date will be the epitome of dorky chic (and totally cute!) in a tux and boatlike bowling shoes. Make a creative team name for you and your crew, and every time someone gets a strike, do a little group-inspired cheer! Even gutter balls will look glamorous in your sparkly gown.
inferno goddess: Create a bonfire and camp out on the beach to chill after the craziness of prom! If you’re not close to the water, just switch the surf for the turf of a friend’s big backyard. Prepare beforehand by packing blankets and sheets to sit on, iced tea, a cardigan for when it gets chilly, and marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate to make s’mores! Relive all of the best moments of the night as you look up at the stars, feel the cool sand between your toes, and hear the soothing sound of the crackling fire putting you totally at ease. Then, snap a group photo in front of the sunrise.
takeout queen: In an ideal scenario, the food at prom would be great, but that’s not always the case. If your school’s hors d’oeuvres have you dreaming of a cheeseburger and fries or a delicious milk shake, head to a retro diner! Strategizing over the menu always works best when you’re sharing a plate of something delish with your circle of friends. Fuel up and boost your energy, so that you can move on to the next plan of attack!
sleeping beauty: Host a sleepover to have an all-out girls night as your after-party! Prepare monogrammed pillows beforehand as party favors for your friends to take home to remember the night. Lounge around in patterned pajamas and have a movie marathon. In the morning, treat yourselves to pancakes with fresh fruit, and homemade facials.
