i have a prom dress and a date!

I’m happy to report my prom stress has come to a halt, for now. I’m feeling home free because I filled the two D words that I have been pretending didn’t exist. That’s right, I now how a dress and a date!

I was getting tired of the, “You didn’t get your dress yet?” and the, “Good luck with that one!” comments, so I finally went dress shopping. I must say I love my dress! It’s a dark turquoise color and made out of jersey, so it’s really comfortable. It has a little bit of bronze beading around the neckline, just enough that I don’t need jewelry, and a low back. Right now, its way too long, so I’m going to get it shorted for prom. Then, when prom is over, I'll get it shortened again so it’s a cocktail dress. Aside from the dress being really long, it’s a perfect fit.

And, finally, I have a date to prom. A friend from school asked me to go and it’s the perfect situation. We were already on the same bus and heading to the same house afterwards so everything just fell into place.

My luck is going pretty well in the prom direction, which makes me feel like prom is going to be awesome!
