money saving tips for prom

Spender vs. Saver

Money. It makes everything more complicated when it comes to prom.

The hair, the make up, the nails, the dress, the transportation, post prom plans and the ticket itself. Woah! These things get costly and my wallet is getting thinner and thinner.

After putting in another $60 for the bus, I started noticing just how much prom adds up to be. It’s a lot. It hard, I know, to keep spending to a limit, because even the basics are costly. Our tickets are $150 each! Sadly, there is no solution to this problem. I’m going to do my best and looking around, not to cheap out on anything but to try to see which places are the best to go to for hair and nails. I think I might even try to do my own makeup and test out the look I want ahead of time. These things alone can save me about $100 dollars.

Another way I am saving is by having our bus filled. We got to split the cost by as many people possible so we are all spending a little less. Prom is pricey, no doubt, but I’m making it work.

So, what are you doing to make sure your piggy bank isn’t going broke?

Xoxo,
Shelley
