Here is what's getting me psyched for prom.

So, all the planning, fussing and fighting led to an absolutely amazing prom. There were about 30 of us on the party bus, and when we arrived at the school the boys got out first and lined up by the bus. Then the girls got off one by one, and as we did, our dates gave us each a long stemmed red rose before we walked down the red carpet.
Once we got inside it was gorgeous. I dont understand why kids tried to fight the theme being decades, because it was decorated beautifully. The walls were lined with pictures starting from the twenties to today. There was a jazz band playing and the teachers were holding the doors for us all night.
We stayed at the dance for about three hours, enough time to get all our dance moves out, and then left for the beach. We got there around 2 a.m. and stayed up until 2 a.m. We watched the sunrise and sunset, hung by the pool, went to the beach and just relaxed at the motel. Everyone was happy to be around each other, so there was no drama in the least.
I finally got home at around 11 a.m. two days after prom. I went to bed, woke up and started getting ready for graduation. I had the best time and it was once of the best ways possible to close off high school. If you dont call this prom a success story, then I dont know what is!
So how was our prom? I can't wait to hear!
Xoxo,
Shelley
