take me to montauk!

What did you guys think of our digs in Montauk? Charming, right? And by charming, I mean a mildew infested basement that left myself, Tina, and Janjay sleeping on the pullout couch ALL TOGETHER the last night! To describe the house in one word, I’d have to go with “moist”. But there were some AMAZING moments from the weekend. Surfing was incredible! Even though I didn’t get to fully stand up once—no one did—it was still such a rush! This, BTW, is coming from someone that doesn’t even go on roller coasters or any sort of theme park ride. It really was quite exhilarating to do something I would never normally attempt. I highly recommend stepping out of the box and doing something that isn’t necessarily your forte – it puts a fresh perspective on things. And, of course, facilitates the meeting of cute boys – who later attended my birthday bonfire on the beach!

That party was interesting, if nothing else. I’ve never eaten a lobster straight out of its shell, and I don’t know if I ever will again. It was I guess okay to eat, but I can’t handle looking at the thing! The claws, the eyes, its just gross…I don’t get why they call it a delicacy. I was always told to never eat anything that carries its home around with it. To make matters worse, Janjay ate the green-tinged poop by accident. Ewwwwww right?!?!? The weather was horrible (read: raining, gusting winds, and freezing temperatures), and the surfer dudes were kind of awkward, but some of the company was second to none. I am just really loving Teeny and Janj – they are my girls! While the girls are both completely different from each other as well as myself, I actually believe I’ve formed lasting friendships I’ll carry with me well beyond the confines of The Fashionista Diaries.

The trip was a nice break before the chaos of Fashion Week that’s set to ensue…I hope I nail it for CG! so the odds of me staying here increase. Comment below -- I’d love to hear from you all about your thoughts on the show, the fashionistas, and the bosses!!!
