What the Princeton Review says...
"Athletics aren't a big deal, and Greek life is practically non-existent, but that definitely doesn't mean that you'll have no social life. The East Village is a really exciting place to live with great restaurants and great nightlife. There are a few popular hangouts where you'll see the same people all the time, giving NYU the close-knit campus feeling that it sometimes lacks."
"There are no boundaries between the campus and the city; your school buildings and your dorms are just another part of the East Village, which makes it the perfect choice for someone like me who's always dreamed of living in the city."
"Classes take full advantage of being in the city. I've gone on many field trips to museums and even went on a field trip to a Yankee's game. We have amazing guest speakers, especially for media-related classes since so many major media outlets are in NYC."
- Kristen, 21, senior
"I love my school because on top of all the great things you'd probably find at other colleges, like interesting classes with great professors, it's in the middle of New York City. And granted, that's what is always talked about when anyone brings up NYU, but as an art history major, there is nothing more satisfying than my 20 minute commute from dorm to the Met.

"I love NYU because it is in the heart of the greatest city in the world.
Anything you want to do, get, see, or experience, anything you
can imagine is somewhere in New York City. I don't have to leave my
college town to go to the country's best boutiques or see indie films
before the rest of the country does."
- Claire, 19, sophomore
"What makes NYU an amazing school is that you're in the middle of it all. You can see a Picasso painting, eat a cornbread grilled cheese at a street fair, and be part of a peaceful protest all in the same day. There's never a dull moment and there's always something new to try. You're no more than a subway ride away from the best food, artwork, theatre, sports, and clothing stores that the world has to offer. A lot of students are even able to hold major internships (part time) during the school year!"
- Meghan, 19, sophomore
"Every April there is the annual Strawberryfest where everyone heads out to West 4th Street for New York City's longest strawberry shortcake that spans the entire street. And, There's always a random NYU student dressed in green spandex and a strawberry suit to take a polaroid with and stick on your refrigerator!"
- Tamara, 22, senior
