A. Stand one foot in front of a 12-inch exercise platform (or facing a flight of stairs) holding a 5-pound dumbbell (or large water bottle) in each hand.

B. Place your right foot on the platform (or the second step of the stairs), then push your right heel into the platform and step upwards onto the platform.

C. Pause on the platform.

D. Step down with your right foot then your left to return to the starting position.

E. Repeat the move on your other side: Place your left foot on the platform (or the second step of the stairs), then push your left heel into the platform and step up. Do 3 sets of 20 alternating reps (10 on each side).
