bittersweet goodbye
Share your tips for surviving high school!

My senior year flew by right before my eyes. I literally blinked, and I'm already sending out graduation invitations and buying my best friends their graduation gifts. It'll only be a few months before I move out of the comfort of my house that I've been living in for 18 years and into a dorm with a girl I've never met before.
It's all very exciting to think of the new experiences I'll be having this coming fall, but it's also difficult to think that I'm leaving behind my family and friends. I'm writing this blog to give you high school and even junior high girls some advice for your senior year that I learned along the way:
Don't believe anyone when they say senior year is their easiest year. Not only do you have to worry about applying to college but you have to keep your grades up at the same time. Try to stay on your game as long as you can, but I know how hard "senioritis" can hit you.
Do not stress over anything, especially college acceptances. Trust me, it will all work out for the best no matter where you end up.
Get into shape. I'm terrified of the Freshman 15!
Spend time laughing and hanging out with your girlfriends. They'll always stick by your side, even when that guy you like turns out to be a jerk!
Stay on good terms with your parents and family. They'll be the ones that are there for you whenever it gets tough.
The number one thing I have to give to you as advice: Enjoy it because youll never be able to get it back.
I know I learned a lot academically my senior year, but I think I learned more about myself. I'm happy with the way things turned out, but it's a very bittersweet feeling. I'm sad to leave, but so excited to go!
Do you all have any tips for high school? And if you're graduating, what's the number one thing you're looking forward to about your freshman year in college?
XOXO,
Julia Bray, intern
