Embrace spiders

halloween, decoration, flowers, spiders, orange flowers Embellish contemporary orange flower arrangements (In the fall, you can find them at JoAnn Fabric and Craft Stores.) with TONS of clip-on plastic spiders (click here to see an example). Make sure to remove any leaves or greenery so that the creepy crawlers really stand out. Sprinkle more spiders around the bottom of the vase to make it look like the spiders are swarming the table.

Serve spooky drinks and food

And for a fun snack, try making Severed Finger cookies. Check out the recipe here

Create a Halloween candy buffet

candy, halloween, fall halloween candy Collect clear jars, vases, bowls, and containers in various shapes and sizes you find around the house, then fill each container with different Halloween themed candies, such as black licorice bites, black and orange M&M’s, gummy spiders, spooky eyeballs, candy corn and wax lips. Set cellophane favor bags next to the buffet, and let guests create their own Halloween candy goodie bags when they leave.

Decorate the table

Go gothic glam

Set out a bunch of Halloween costume makeup and props, such as black lipstick, vampire fangs, and black or glow-in-the-dark nail polish.
