fondue fun

Fondue is a sexy French way to say melted. Heat up any party with these two recipes.

Cheese Fondue

Say Cheese
This recipe serves four. Buy all ingredients at a grocery store.

1. Heat 2 cups nonalcoholic white wine in a pot until almost boiling. Gradually add 1 lb. coarsely grated Emmentaler cheese (keep heat high but adjust so the mixture doesn’t boil) and stir until you feel a little resistance to the spoon.

2. Add 1 tsp. cornstarch and a pink black pepper; stir quickly. Heat until mixture bubbles, then pour into a fondue pot. Read the pot's directions before using and never leave a flame unattended!

3. Use skewers to spear foods like cut-up vegetables and bread, and dip in the fondue. Don't forget the fondue rule: If food falls off your stick and into the pot, you must kiss your neighbor!
