Last year, more than 670 teens were killed accidentally during prom. But you can reduce that number this year just by making one promise. Students for Safe Prom (S4SP) will promote prom safety across the country, and you can help get the message out: Have an amazing time at prom and be safe at the same time. Heres how read the S4SP promise below and click on the link at the bottom to add your name. Just for adding your name, well send you three stylish S4SP removable stickers (one for you, two to share with friends!) to spruce up your limo, locker, fridge, or wherever else will remind you to have fun, keep the promise, and spread the word about prom safety the accessory that will never go out of style for prom night. Pass the promise along to all of your friends and let the celebration begin!
At prom this year, I will keep the promise to:
| BE AWARE of whats happening around me. I love being the first to know about the latest prom beauty & fashion trends, so knowing how to have a safe prom is one accessory Ill be sure to take along. | |
| SPEAK UP. Id never let a friend go to prom wearing pink shoes with a red dress, so if I think shes too tired from dancing all night to drive home, Ill be up front with her instead of putting myself (and everyone else) in a potentially unsafe situation. | |
| SUPPORT MY FRIENDS by reminding them that you know theyre independent and determined just like you, but youre there if they find themselves feeling uncomfortable and unsafe on the road, with their date, on the dance floor, or wherever leaves them needing help. | |
| PLAN AHEAD. Have a plan in place that all my friends are on board with so well be safe throughout prom and know what to do if we end up needing help at any step of the night. Id never leave shopping, limo reservations, and party planning to the last minute, so why should prom safety take a backseat? |
