In the December/January issue of CosmoGIRL!, we featured eight amazing girls who make things for charity. So if you’re still shopping for the perfect holiday gifts, we think these would all make fabulous additions to your “to buy” list. Check ‘em out below!
*Edna and her friend Jordan make and sell “Heal Darfur” T-shirts to give food and supplies to the victims in Sudan.
*Hayley makes jewelry and then donates the money to help for dysautonomia (a condition of the autonomic nervous system) research. Go to dynakids.org to find out more.
*Rachael started her own jewelry line called Amour Jewels and donates the money to the Susan B. Komen Foundation because her mom and aunt survived breast cancer
*Rachel started a charity called GlamourGals to encourage teen girls to work with the elderly. The black lace bracelet she created represents the two generations with the vintage lace and modern bangle.
*Kendall started the organization Kids Caring 4 Kids to raise money for AIDS orphans in Africa. She sells T-shirts to raise money, and has reached $105,000 to date!
*After their grandfather died from cancer, Molly and Carly harvested honey from their grandparents’ hives and named it Hives for Lives. So far they’ve donated $22,000 to the American Cancer Society!
*When Danielle had scoliosis and had to have surgery at Shriners Children’s Hospital—there were so few TVs. So she raised $40,000 after making and selling bracelets and now they have 30 sets!
